DIY: Birdfeeder

When I was younger our neighbor had a ton of pine trees and their lawn was covered in pine cones. We would use their pine cones for Christmas decorations, pretend grenades, and my favorite: bird feeders.

Here is what you need:

  • Large opened pine cones
  • Twine (tie on before the peanut butter)
  • Peanut butter
  • Birdseed
  • Popcorn (optional)

Keller needed some help with the peanut butter, but other then that, he did most of the project on his own. I love our little birdfeeder and we’ve already caught a small Finch snackin on the popcorn!

  1. I love these, because even after the birds ate all the food off the one my son made in the winter, we still left it hanging on the tree, and it looks like a little charlie brown tree with its one decoration…
