Inspiration: Grom Room

When I was pregnant I was picky about the car seat, diaper brand, bottles, pretty much everything… but one thing I let Alex pick out was Keller’s nursery theme. I guess it was because we just moved into our house and I didn’t have the energy to get creative with a nursery so we kept it simple: crib, changing table, and rocking chair. I’ve always felt guilty about leaving his walls that awful tan color and some of the picture frames empty. But now that Keller is older and actually playing in his room, I was stoked when Alex told me today he wanted to give Keller a toddler grom room. My first instinct… Pinterest. I want bold, fun, beach kid with a lot of DIY projects.

I’ve already started sanding down his dresser (that I just painted) and spray painted old picture frames for the gallery wall. I’ve found a couple options for lockers on Craigslist and this week I’ll start searching thrift stores for old skateboards and surfboards.

Can’t wait to post some projects and updates. This room is going to be so much fun!
