5 Closet Costumes

I start thinking about Keller’s Halloween costume in July. Because he is so young (and doesn’t really get it) I can still persuade him into the costume of my liking. I always like to think of something unique or put a creative twist on an original. His first year he was a Frog Prince, second year he was Mickey Mouse (his choice), and this year he is going to be The Man in the Yellow Hat (Curious George). Every year Keller looks cute and I wear jeans and a hoodie… wha wha

This year I decided to dress up, but not go all out. Instead of buying something, I wanted to pull from my own closet. So here are five easy Halloween costumes you probably already own.

Costume 1: Holly Golightly (Breakfast at Tiffany’s):

  • Black Dress
  • Tiara and Necklace
  • Sunglasses

It’s pretty amazing what a little makeup and accessories can do. I think the winner is the Scarecrow (only because I want to carry that bird around and say “pretty bird” all night… Dumb and Dumber reference for people who don’t speak in movie quotes) but I had so many more I wanted to try: Regina George, Cher Horowitz, Daisy Buchanan…

What is everyone else going to be for Halloween?
