Water Bug

I haven’t written much about Keller lately and feel like a quick update is over due. I took the camera down to catch him doing what he loves most, being in the water.

Playing: This summer Keller rode tandem and stood up on the surf board for the first time. Once Alex edits the video I will post it because Keller yelling at everyone in the water is hilarious.

Say What: We have entered the “best friend” stage. Daily we hear “Mommy is Keller’s best friend and Daddy can be my best friend tomorrow.” Another new thing that is adorable/manipulating: “you’re hurting my feelings” when he has to do something he doesn’t like.

Eating: EVERYTHING, I think we are in the middle of a growth spurt! If we go grocery shopping Keller will eat anything with an Avengers on the label… I really wish they would make some Hulk Green beans.

Watching: This kid has more shows then I have. He gets TV time in the evenings after school (zero TV at school, which I love) and usually wants some weird kid shows on Netflix or his standard Disney Junior shows.

Reading: Keller can recite most of the books we own (that includes The Lorax and Green Eggs and Ham) so recently we decided to start going to the library and checking out books. We quickly learned that Keller hates Where The Wild Things Are, whhhhaatttt?!?!

Wearing: Everything sold at Target that is Avengers and he now wants to pick out his own outfits, so if you see us in public… don’t judge.

Learning: Learning to swim this summer was a big accomplishment and terrifying for Mommy. Keller can hold his breath and dive under to get pool toys. He seems pretty aware of his abilities and respects the ocean but it still makes me a nervous ninny.

Keller is very excited about his baby brother and is relatively gentle with me. He thinks there is also a baby growing in his belly (named James, thank you Holley’s Tinder date) so we’re going to figure out a way to get him a “James” when Bowen arrives.

Love this little water bug and his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle chest piece.
